I really want to get my hands on a copy of Burial Rites, I’ve heard nothing but great things. I have Mrs. Poe coming up too 🙂 Hope you’re digging that one, can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
I wish I would have known. At one point in time, I had three copies of Burial Rites! If I can get my husband to read my only copy soon, I can definitely send it to you. It really is as good as people are saying it is.
I’m really enjoying Mrs. Poe but hope it doesn’t get too sappy on me. I don’t think I can handle another unrequited love story about married authors.
I was supposed to be part of a online book club discussion of Burial Rites but the publisher cancelled. Boo! I’d be forever grateful to read your copy 😉 No rush AT ALL.
Boo. Perhaps the publisher felt that they didn’t need any more publicity? Either way, that sucks. I will be more than happy to send it to you once he is finished with it. I’ll let you know when that is.
You definitely read some fabulous books last week.
I see Mrs. Poe is in your upcoming reads…I HAVE to get that. I bet it is really good. Will be looking for your thoughts on it.
Have a great week.

My It’s Monday, What Are You Reading
I started it last night and am pleasantly surprised. I suspect it is going to be a fast read too, which is always good.
Have a great week!
I am looking forward to reading Burial Rites. I hope that you are enjoying it. I loved Mrs. Poe and hope that you do as well.
I loved Burial Rites. The subject matter was fascinating, but it is probably one of the most well-written books I’ve read in a long time. I did start Mrs. Poe last night and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed what I read. I’m hoping it stays just as interesting.
I tried to read Someday Someday Maybe and had to give up – it seemed like just one long string of cheesy 90’s references. Might have liked it more if I’d stuck with it, but it just didn’t grab me – hopefully the audio makes it better!
As a child of the 90s, I’m sure I am going to enjoy the references! I’ve heard the audio is wonderful, so I can’t wait to start it!
I want to read the Graham books also. How did you like My Notorious Life? I am in the middle of it right now.

I liked My Notorious Life but ultimately felt disappointed. It was an entertaining and easy read, so I’m not certain why I feel that way but I did. I can’t wait to get started on Someday, Someday, Maybe.
I’m looking forward to your thoughts on Someday Maybe.
I better get started listening to it then! 🙂
Murder As a Fine Art caught my eye, as did Mrs. Poe. Hope you enjoy them.
Murder As a Fine Art was quite interesting. It made me want to read more about Thomas de Quincy and the Ratcliffe murders. I’m looking forward to starting Mrs. Poe and hope it isn’t going to disappoint.
Have a great week!
Help for the Haunted caught my eye and after reading the link, it sounds like something I would love. Burial Rites also on my wishlist as is now Mrs. Poe. Thanks for sharing these with us.
I really enjoyed Help for the Haunted. It was creepy but overly so, and I honestly had no idea where it was going or how it was going to end. I was just along for the ride. I feel the same way about Burial Rites. It isn’t creepy, but I have no idea how it is going to end and am just enjoying the process of getting there.
Have a great week!
Someday, Someday, Maybe was a cute read. Hope you enjoy it.
I’m also curious about My Notorious Life.
Here’s MY MONDAY READING POST
I’ve heard that about the Lauren Graham novel. I can’t wait to get started.
I really enjoyed My Notorious Life. It is definitely an eye-opening look at women’s health issues in the 1800s.
Have a great week!
I am not much on current authors right now. Most of the ones I read are dead and have been for many years. I really want to look into something new in the near future though. I saw Burial Rites on Goodreads and thought it sounded like something I might be interested int. Looking forward to seeing what you think of it.
Burial Rites is really good so far. I’m about halfway through it right now and am thoroughly enjoying it.
Have a good week!
