Hosted by Sheila from Book Journey, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind.
I love your blog, its so nicely designed. I finished The Returned last month and really liked it!! Ill have to check out The Affairs of Others, never heard of that one.
Thank you very much! The Returned was so surprising to me. It was nothing like I expected, but I enjoyed it. The Affairs of Others is another interesting one. I haven’t decided how I feel about that one yet.
I thoroughly enjoyed A Fatal Likeness. All of the books I’m reading now won’t be reviewed until mid-August, closer to their release dates, so stay tuned!
Looks like I’m a week behind you! I just picked up The Returned and have plans to read The Affairs of Others soon, though I’ve already read Tampa – wondering what you’ll think!
I have The Returned to read too, I’m looking forward to that one. I’m very curious about A Fatal Likeness – did you enjoy it?
Ooh Tampa was a hard read! I don’t think of myself as a squeamish person but I was very uncomfortable and grossed out reading it. Took me a few days before I could calmly write a review. Looking forward to hearing what you think of that one.
I did enjoy A Fatal Likeness, more than I expected I would. The Returned was a complete surprise as it was nothing like what I expected. I finished Tampa at lunch today. I loved it. I thought it was just brilliant.
The Secret Keeper looks good, I like that it’s set in the English countryside and there’s a mystery involved. I may have to check that one out. Thanks and have a great day!
The Perfume Collector is high on my gonna read it soon list. Not an actual list. A mental list that gets reshuffled according to my whims. But right now, it’s very near the top.
I’ve read Me Before You by Jo Jo Moyes and thought it was great. I hope you enjoy The Girl You Left Behind. I’ve also read The Secret Keeper and enjoyed that as well. All of your books look great. Enjoy!
Having not read Me Before You, I will be curious to see how those who loved it feel about her latest book. I did enjoy it but felt there were some parts I could have done without. I do love Kate Morton and can’t believe I waited this long before I finally got to The Secret Keeper.
Nice assortment of books. I have seen a lot of them around the blogsphere but haven’t read any. It is amazing how many books are available to readers. Come see what I did last week here. Happy reading this week!
I know. I always think I have my pulse on the latest reads but usually find myself shocked at just how many I missed. Ah well. Unless I win the lottery and can quit my job so that I can read all day, I am resigned that I am just not able to get to them all.
I did read it and enjoyed it. I haven’t read Ms. Moyes’ first novel, so I have no basis for comparison. However, I thought it interesting. The historical fiction sections were much stronger than the modern-day sections, but overall, I was impressed!

I loved The Secret Keeper.
A Fatal Likeness looks really good. I have Returned on my TBR list. Will check out your review if you have one.
ENJOY your week…it looks good.

Definitely! Kate Morton is just awesome, and The Secret Keeper is not disappointing so far!

I LOVED Tampa!! It was simply brilliant and one that I was to discuss with everyone!
I just heard about Tampa! OMG! I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts on it. Have a good week.
I thoroughly enjoyed Tampa. Psychologically, it is absolutely fascinating. It isn’t for everyone though!
I have The Returned to read too, I’m looking forward to that one. I’m very curious about A Fatal Likeness – did you enjoy it?

All of Kate Morton’s books involve mysteries set in England. If you like that sort of thing, I would check out her entire repertoire. Enjoy!

I know that list. I have that list myself. I’m always afraid to look at that mental list because it brings me nothing but shame because it is SO long!
