When I was hired in my current role, a large portion of what I was hired to do was to help manage the inventory at our three manufacturing plants. I’ve spent the last six months working to minimize our inventory loads and prepare as best as I could without really knowing what to expect.
Last week, I was in Mexico working through the first of three inventory counts. Today ends the second and biggest of the three counts. I didn’t have to travel to another country but did have to travel two hours one-way to reach the plant in question each day. All I have left is one very small plant left (and the closest one to my home, a mere twenty minutes away) for next week. So I am taking this opportunity to celebrate. The worst is over, and I am one step closer to my Christmas vacation!
