So, what’s up with all of the Monster High books lately? My daughter, soon to be age 8, is obsessed with the dolls, and I want to make sure each book is acceptable for her reading and maturity levels. Also, they are an incredibly cute series. Cranford is my next book club selection.
What are you reading this week?
I have DOVEKEEPERS on my ever-growing list of books to read. THE HOUSE OF VELVET AND GLASS is interesting. The language is gorgeous.
Lori, I know exactly what you mean. There are just not enough hours in the day or days in the week for all these amazing books.
A SLAVE IN THE WHITE HOUSE was okay. Interesting but slow. It didn't make me mad as that was the times, and I can't undo history or people's idiocy. It just made me sad that one of greatest Founding Fathers was such a hypocrite.
I'm almost finished with Hoffman's Dovekeepers! I really enjoy her beautiful prose… I checked it out because her YA novel Green Angel made a huge impact on me when I was little (er). The House of Velvet and Glass looks cool too.
These books are all being added to my wish list. I need to clone myself so I can read twice as much!!
