Hosted by Sheila from Book Journey, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind.
Finished Last Week:

I slowed down my pace a little bit last week. It helped that the books I did finish were longer than what I’ve been reading in recent weeks. I like mixing it up!
Currently Reading:
I’ve been enjoying this slow read of The Secret Garden with my book club. It has definitely created quite the discussion.
I just started A Discovery of Witches, but vampires and witches? You know I’m going to love it!
Currently Listening:
I’ve got nothing. I’m struggling deciding on my next audiobook. It doesn’t help that my most recent review copy is not downloading onto my iPod correctly. There is nothing more annoying than not being able to tell which chapter comes next or inadvertently jumping around an entire book.
Up Next:
As always, I reserve the right to change my mind, depending on how I feel on any given day.
What are you reading this week?

You are very welcome, Flora! I hope you were able to find something you enjoy!
I am adoring A Discovery of Witches. I just want to do nothing but read it!!
I can't wait to read it!!
You are so fast! How can you read so many books in one week? I haven't read anything in a while and came here to see what's "trending" in order to choose a book that I could read before going to sleep. I totally fell out of the book world, I have no idea what writers are popular nowadays, and who created a masterpiece everyone should read. I watched some good movies in the past few weeks. Now that it's the award season, a lot of interesting movies came to light. My favorite of the foreign films was Pedro Almodovar's The Skin I Live In. It is fascinating. And most of today's movies are based on books, so it might be interesting to read the books as well. They usually provide a much deeper experience than cinemas.
Thank you for keeping a blog that helps people like me – lost souls of the land of books. 🙂 Have a great week! Flora
I enjoyed A Discovery of Witches and The Secret Garden is one of my favorites. Happy reading!

The Secret Garden is a re-read, but I haven't read it in decades. I'm looking forward to The Carrier.
I am enjoying every word of it so far. Why did I wait so long to read it? I'm glad I do not have to wait long for the sequel.
The Secret Garden was a favourite last year, my first time reading it, just delightful. Hope you enjoy The Carrier if you decide to read it.

I do hope you love A Discovery of Witches. I am looking forward to the sequel!
Nice! I love when I finish lots of books all at one time. It is so satisfying.
I'm thinking of re-reading The Secret Garden.
With the three day weekend, I had a chance to finish a bunch of books I've been working on the last month. Please come see what I'm reading.
That's a great sign when those who are non-fans of vamps and witches enjoy a book that contain them. Since I love that genre, I really cannot wait to get back to reading the book!
I listened to A Discovery of Witches and really enjoyed it. Which I was surprised about… I'm not a huge fan of vampires and witches. I am looking forward to the second book in the series.
