The Sunday Salon - July 31, 2011 - That's What She Read

Travelling takes a lot out of a person. Travelling for business, combined with a four-day training session is just outright exhausting. It is going to take me weeks to comprehend everything I learned, but at least I have the weekend to recover physically. There were lots of naps this weekend already, and it is only half over! Mmmm…naps.

Thanks to team-building dinners and having to work remotely after training sessions, I wasn’t able to read as much as I wanted to read this week. I was only able to finish the following:

Yes, this was the week. I know my coworkers who travelled with me told me they also took huge naps over the weekend. Insane how tiring it is. The weekend was nice but I think I needed a longer break!

Was this when you were stuck with Delta? :S Not good. But at least you had the weekend to recover. 🙂

Thanks, Amy! I recovered and am glad I don't have to do that every week. I like the occasional work travel but would go insane having to do it more often. That and the family would fall apart since we need two parents these days to get each of the kids to their various activities.

I have one tour book I have to read during the month of August. I was trying so hard to finish them all before the month started, but I literally received the book on August 1st. Oh well. One book for the month is decent, right?

Heh no idea what you're talking about. Travelling is normal work for me 🙂 Seriously though, good luck recovering!

I'm looking forward to the month of August though I caved the first two days and read a book I'd borrowed… but at least I'd borrowed it prior to Aug 1st? heh

I didn't get a nap today either. We spent the day shopping. I really was hoping to read more while I was gone. Damn work at night got in the way.
