Book Blogger Appreciation Week 2010 Button

We invite you to share with us about a great new book blog you’ve discovered since BBAW last year!  If you are new to BBAW or book blogging, share with us the very first book blog you discovered.  Tell us why this blog rocks your socks off and why you keep going back for more.

There are SO many blogs I discovered this past year.  My Reader went from 50 to 250 in the course of the year.  My favorites?  Let me share so that you too can discover these wonderful bloggers!

  • Devourer of Books – Jen has such great taste in books.  She is the force behind Audiobooks Week and the upcoming Chicago Authors event.  I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Jen face-to-face, and she is just as lovely in person as she appears on her blog.
  • A Girl Reads A Book – Bella is the mastermind behind my new blog design.  She is a wonderful designer and an even better blogger.  Conscientious and supportive, Bella is a huge believer in community.  She is also undergoing a book-buying ban this month.  Check her out and throw her some support!
  • The 3 R’s – Florinda is a west coast blogger who is on the top of my list of people to meet in real life.  She helped create Armchair BEA this past May, to help the rest of us who did not attend BEA in NYC this year not feel left out.  She did a fantastic job, and the support for Armchair BEA was amazing.  Florinda’s blog is definitely worth a visit!
  • my books, my life – Michelle is a kindred spirit and another one who is on the top of the list of people to meet in real life.  Her taste in books and thoughts on them are remarkably similar to my own, and her outlook on life is fun and carefree.  While she is an avid Michigan fan, I can forgive her that by recognizing the fact that she is at least a fan of the Big 10!

These are just a small taste of bloggers I have enjoyed getting to know over the past year.  Who makes your list?
