You know how I swore how I would never offer a giveaway? If you needed proof to never say never, here it is. I inadvertently received an extra copy of Tinkers by Paul Harding.
Since I would have to go to the post office to return it anyway, I figured I would much rather let someone else reap the benefit of my mistake. So, please take a moment to enter for a chance to win this Pulitzer Prize-winning novel!
Synopsis (Courtesy of Powell’s Books): “An old man lies dying. Confined to bed in his living room, he sees the walls around him begin to collapse, the windows come loose from their sashes, and the ceiling plaster fall off in great chunks, showering him with a lifetime of debris: newspaper clippings, old photographs, wool jackets, rusty tools, and the mangled brass works of antique clocks. Soon, the clouds from the sky above plummet down on top of him, followed by the stars, till the black night covers him like a shroud. He is hallucinating, in death throes from cancer and kidney failure.
A methodical repairer of clocks, he is now finally released from the usual constraints of time and memory to rejoin his father, an epileptic, itinerant peddler, whom he had lost 7 decades before. In his return to the wonder and pain of his impoverished childhood in the backwoods of Maine, he recovers a natural world that is at once indifferent to man and inseparable from him, menacing and awe inspiring.
Tinkers is about the legacy of consciousness and the porousness of identity from one generation the next. At once heartbreaking and life affirming, it is an elegiac meditation on love, loss, and the fierce beauty of nature.”
This giveaway will be open through Friday, July 25th. Please help spread the word!
Giveaway is now closed.
Edit: Because I am feeling generous, this giveaway will be international. Good luck!

Thanks!
That's fun and congratulations on your first giveaway!

Thanks Michelle 😀
That's awful! One person's opinion impacting the entire group's reading choice? I hope you get a chance to read it soon!
My book club always reads the Pulitzer winner but they won't read this because one person already did and didn't like it. But I still want to!

Good luck! I haven't yet started my own copy but I can't wait!
This is so generous of you! I started this book a few months ago but wasn't able to finish it before it had to go back to the library. I would love to win your copy.
It is not in response to that particular discussion! LOL! Notice, I don't require people to follow me, to tweet about it, to write a blog post about it or all of the other gimmicks. I kept it as simple as possible because I like simplicity!
Good luck!
Good luck!!
Amy, I just edited the post to make it clearer, but this is is open internationally.
Good luck!
Is this just a response to our discussion of stats the other day? Giveaways make people visit. Lol.
Thanks for the giveaway. 🙂
Huffing and Puffing all the way to try and win that book! LOL!

Is it open internationally? I don't see that specified, or maybe I'm blind!
Thanks for offering this up Michelle. My book club is reading this, so it would be great to win a copy.
