My dear friend from There’s a Book started a new meme based on the desire to learn more about her blogger friends and conversely have others learn more about her. You know I am all about sharing (and even over-sharing), so I thought that this would be a great way to talk about me outside of books.
This week’s instructions are as follows:
Tell us all about your favorite movie and why. Can’t pick one? Give us your top five!
I always have difficulties picking any favorite movie for lists like this. If I were being truly honest with myself, my favorite movie has to be
Jim and I saw Jim Carrey perform live on our first date, just after Ace Ventura came out in theaters, so I have a special place in my heart for all of his movies. I have most of his movies memorized. They just make me laugh.
Alternatively, this one has to make the list as well.
My best friend and I used to spend hours reciting lines from this one in junior high and high school. There is something about the costumes, the lush scenery, the timelessness of the movie that makes me want to watch it over and over again.
Because my taste in movies is just as eclectic as my taste in books, I can’t fail to mention another childhood favorite.
Another movie to which I have all of the dialogue memorized. I love the original three movies, but this one is by far my favorite. It’s the snarkiest of the three, and I really like the fact that it does not end on a positive note.
So, there you go. I can’t say that these are my all-time favorite movies, but they certainly rank up among my favorites for which I will always have a special fondness.
Which movies make your list?

Danielle already posted next week's question – although I cannot for the life of me remember what it is. I do like learning more about people outside of reading, and I am not afraid to share who I truly am.
That is just a sprinkling of what I like. All day after I wrote that, I thought of movies I should have included. Oh well!
What a great meme. 😀 WIll definitely be doing this one. I love getting to know people outside of reading.
And, btw, you have a great taste in films if that's just a sprinkle of what you like. 😀 Good choice.
I've done that just reading a book! Outlander by DIana Gabaldon caused me to think that everyone has a Scottish accent. I would have to give myself a mental shake each time someone spoke to remind myself that I did not live in Scotland nor did I know anyone with such an accent. LOL! I think that is a sign of a good book!
I hadn't even heard of The Wind Done Gone! (adding it to wish list now)
The funny thing about listening to Rhett Butler's People that I was talking in a Southern accent for days because of it. I think that I was driving my boyfriend crazy:)
I really enjoyed that one. I just check out "The Wind Done Gone" from the library and can't wait to delve into it!
I just finished the audio book of Rhett Butler's People this week and it took me back into the wonderful land of Gone with the Wind. Hmm, I bet that I have that on my DVR, must go watch again.
LOL! Yes, I have made some changes, and I will be making even more next month. Did you see that I will be changing the name of my blog? There will be a whole new design change as well. Stay tuned!!
Crazy, isn't it? I tend to be this crazy in my choices no matter if it's books, movies, or music. I think I may have alternate personalities…LOL!
LOL! Exactly! Like books, my favorite movies tend to differ depending on my mood any given day. There are some that always come to mind.
