It’s Read-a-thon time!  Woot woot!  It is 8 AM, and I am up and ready to start this thing.  I have my stack of books ready to go, comfy clothes, my coffee and the support of my husband to gorge on reading and blogging throughout the day.  The best part?  My kids love this idea.  Connor plans to participate with me, and Holly keeps asking if she can read too.  What kind of mother would I be to not promote this as family reading day?  (If only I could convince Jim to participate as well…)

So, over the next twenty-four hours, I will be reading through my stack of fifteen novels I have kept on hand for just such an event.  If I get tired, I sleep.  If I need a break, I will be taking a break.  While I want to read as much as possible as long as possible, I absolutely refuse to let reading or blogging become a chore.  I will try to take a blogging break every hour but will wait and see how entranced I am with my books.  I will be keeping track of my time spent reading, spent cheering on others, the number of pages read, and the number of books read.  And I will be having fun.  Who’s with me?
