Thoughts on books, family, and life in one impressive package.

My darling Welsh friend, Ceri, tagged me a few days weeks ago for this particular meme, and because I love to share my personal likes and dislikes with everyone, it is about time I live up to my end of the bargain and finally participate!

* Name a film that you have seen more than 10 times.

Gone With the Wind

* Name a film that you’ve seen multiple times in the cinema.

Twilight and New Moon (don’t judge)

* Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a film.

Jim Carrey (again, don’t judge)

* Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a film.

Jennifer Lopez (has she made any good movies?)

* Name a film that you can and do quote from.

Dumb and Dumber
Ace Ventura, Pet Detective
Ace Ventura, When Nature Calls

* Name a film musical that you know all of the lyrics to all of the songs.

Singing in the Rain
West Side Story
The Music Man,
and way too many more…

* Name a film that you would recommend everyone see.

Schindler’s List

* Ever walked out of a film?

I’ve fallen asleep during one, but I cannot remember ever walking out of one.

* Name a film that made you cry in the cinema.

 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – I am such a sap.

* Popcorn?

Heck yes!  How can you not watch a movie without popcorn with lots of that fake butter?

* How often do you go to the cinema (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?

Once in a blue moon, unfortunately.

* What’s the last film you saw in the cinema?

New Moon

* What’s your favourite/preferred genre of film?

Comedy – I really like a good laugh.

* What’s the first film you remember seeing in the cinema?

* What film do you wish you had never seen?

Major Payne

* What is the scariest film you’ve seen?

The Shining (I just don’t do horror.)

* If you could be any character portrayed in a movie, who would it be?

Anne Shirley – from the made-for-TV movie of course

* Total number of films you own on DVD and video.

Without counting, probably no more than 50.  The total number has declined when my dog decided that videotapes were chew toys…resulting in his emergency surgery.

* Last film you bought.

New Moon

* Last film you watched.

Blades of Glory

* Five films that mean a lot to you.

Gone With the Wind – because it remains a childhood favorite
Schindler’s List  – because it was one of the first few dates with Jim and is an amazing story
Ace Ventura, Pet Detective – because Jim and I saw Jim Carrey live performing stand-up on our first date
The Princess Bride
