Finished! Women Unbound Challenge

I did it! I finished a challenge! Granted, this is one of the few challenges for which I did not commit myself to the highest number of books, but when I signed up, I really was not certain how well I would do. Imagine my surprise when I discovered so many books with strong heroines worthy of admiration. My goal for the Women Unbound Reading Challenge was to read four fiction and one non-fiction book about women’s studies – any book that takes a thoughtful look at women’s place in society. Here is my final list:

1. Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte
2. Career GPS by Ella L.J. Edmondson Bell, Ph.D.
3. North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell
4. Public Secrets by Nora Roberts
5. The Postmistress by Sarah Blake

One challenge down, many more to go…

Thanks! My favorite aspect of the challenge was finding the strong women. Once I opened my eyes, I discovered so many of them.

Thanks, Melissa! I'm pretty happy with the books I found that fit the challenge. I'm also glad I can say I finished at least on challenge!

Thanks, Aarti! It was the one challenge I figured I would not complete. I never figured it would be the first one completed! I'm sure you will have no problems finishing it though!

Congrats, Michelle! I am sadly losing steam on Women Unbound due to the non-fiction on my shelf not really calling out to me at the moment. But hopefully that will right itself by November.
