Happy November! Our temperatures dropped drastically last night, so I have a feeling that fall is in its last throes. The kids had a blast last night with trick-or-treating. I’m embarrassed at how much candy they got. Thanks to a low turnout last night, we also have plenty left over, so our candy stash is going to last a very, very long time.
As you can see, I made some more changes to my blog. I finally found a template that I liked, so this should be the end of the changes for a while. I hope you like it! I had to rebuild all the side links from scratch, so please let me know if any of the links fail to work.
As I mentioned earlier in the week, Monday was a little stressful as I had to plead my case to be allowed to retake the test before the end of the testing window. Not only was I allowed to retake it, I am happy to report that I passed. Going into the test this time was a completely different experience than last week. I was nervous and had to take many cleansing breaths several times during the test in order to calm my nerves and rid myself of certain feelings of panic. Waiting for the results to pop up on the screen was a lesson in just how hard your heart can pound. It’s such a nerve-wracking experience. I still have two more exams to take to complete the certification process, but the next testing window does not open back up until January. I am taking the entire month of November and December off from studying and plan to thoroughly enjoy that time.
Not much else occurred this week, as I unfortunately spent a lot of my time studying again. I was able to finish two different books, one of which I still need to review. I was also able to stay on target with my next book club book, The Three Musketeers. As for what the next week holds, I’m leaving that open to whatever strikes my fancy. Soccer is over, and other than parent-teacher conferences, ballet and piano lessons, so is most of our other commitments. Relaxing and reading are going to highlight my week!
I hope everyone has a great Sunday and an even better week! Happy reading!

Thanks, Sarbear! I think I'm good now. I might play with the header picture a bit more, but other than that, I am finally happy with how it looks. It only took me about a year to figure it all out!
Michelle, I love the changes. It's slowly coming together, hm?
Jodie – Thank you very much! Two more does sound easy, doesn't it? We shall see…in 2010.
Congratulations on passing your exam! And just the two more, why that sounds easy 😉
Thanks, Stacy! Yes, it is a huge relief. I'm enjoying the time away from my flashcards!
Congratulations on passing the test! That must be such a relief to you 🙂
Thanks, Savvy Working Gal! I hope so too. The last exam is already making me uncomfortable though since it is cumulative and practical to boot. Nothing like three hours of essays, financial statements to create, and the like to get your heart racing four months in advance!
Congratulations. You're half way there; hopefully this was the worst one.
Book Bird Dog – Unfortunately, I think we've seen the last of the truly warm weather. Now, it's just a matter of seeing whether this winter is going to live up to the hype of it being one of being predicted to be one of the worst winters ever.
Thanks, Care! It felt great to do so.
congrat on passing that test!
Let's hope it will warm up some. Here's what I've been eating and drinking and reading the past week: Sunday Salon
Thanks, Nicole!
Good luck with the rest of your exams!
