I never had a problem with my TBR pile. It was small but always contained a few books in it that would allow me to have to choose my next book based on what I was feeling at that point in time. Then I started to blog and discovered other book bloggers. They were all reading these fabulous books and writing such wonderful reviews that I started adding books to my TBR pile. And adding…and adding. While my TBR pile is still not as large as some other bloggers, it is large for me. I’m not complaining though because I adore having that much potential just waiting for me. Still, I put the blame on all these fabulous reviews because there are books I would never have picked up and read had I not discovered them on other blogs.
Specifically, Chris at book-a-rama introduced me to Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks. Stephanie at Stephanie’s Confessions of a Book-a-Holic got me hooked on Neil Gaiman and The Graveyard Book. Actually, if I were to go down the list, those two ladies are responsible for me adding way too many books to my TBR pile. Of those that I’ve finished, I’ve enjoyed them all. As for specific others, I’m afraid they are still waiting on my TBR pile for me to get to them. Hey, that’s what the Fall Into Reading Challenge is all about, right?
This is actually one of my favorite things about blogging and book bloggers in general. Through them all, I’ve been introduced to so many good books that I’ve either already read or can’t wait to read, it’s made reading that much more enjoyable. I can’t wait to see what gems I pick up and get to read during the next year thanks to my fellow bloggers!

Gautami – It was a great book! I was dubious about the subject matter but seriously loved it by the end.
Stephanie – So you admit that you have a secret agenda with your recommendations? 😉
Hee, Hee, Hee. Neil Gaiman rocks my world. I want everyone to read his books!!
I loved Year of Wonders!
