Well, after my high hopes about getting through those infamous chapters of The Brothers Karamazov this week, I have to say that I only made it through about half of them. But in my defense, I received the Suzanne Collins’ ARC Catching Fire from my dear friend, Stephanie over at Stephanie’s Confessions of a Book-A-Holic. Considering the absolutely horrific day I had on Friday at work, the kind where everything that could go wrong did for the entire time I was at work, it was the perfect anecdote and the best way to end the week. I also managed to finish Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks as well as Karen Rose’s I Can See You. I also finished the book for work, Now, Discover Your Strengths by Marcus Buckingham and Donald Clifton. In all, I feel that it was a pretty productive reading week, although I have to confess that my studying.
This week, I have a quick business trip that should afford me some time to read and continue to work on The Brothers Karamazov. I’ve also started the Louise Penny’s ARC The Brutal Telling. If I finish this ARC, I have a few more that I can’t wait to start. Of course, I need to get caught up on my book reviews, now numbering five that need to be written, and I need to get serious about studying. So, having said that, it’s time to get back to the books! Have a great week and happy reading!

@jlshall – Thanks! I normally average one or two a week and probably should cut back to that again since I am doing very little of my other obligations. But sometimes the book is SO engrossing, that I find it easy to make excuses not to put it down.
That's an impressive reading week! Especially if you're also reading for work. I'm a really slow reader, so anything more than one or two books a week seems like a lot to me!
