I was commenting to Jim this evening that this weekend was the most productive weekend we have had in months. Even though Jim worked Friday night, he stayed up for most of Saturday and we were able to knock out grocery shopping, piano lessons, mowing the lawn, rotating the tires in my SUV, washing and vacuuming both vehicles, cleaning the house, some gardening, painting Holly’s room, and making a quadruple batch of my marinara sauce and meatballs. We also fit in two trips to Lowe’s and one trip to Goodwill. No wonder I’m so tired!
We painted Holly’s room to get it ready for her new bedroom set that is being delivered tomorrow. My baby girl has officially outgrown her toddler bed. I think she had inches left before she didn’t fit it at all. So, we emptied out her room completely, got rid of her dresser (which was originally Connor’s when he was born), and her bed. I also managed to weed through her books and toys, hence the trip to Goodwill. So, tomorrow, she gets her new bed, dresser with mirror and nightstand, and I get the pleasure of putting back all her clothes into her new dresser and making her big bed for the first time. Needless to say, she’s very excited about it. I’ll have to post pictures when it’s all done.
I also managed to re-read The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. I’ll follow up with a review shortly.
For now, it’s time to relax with one more post and some homework.
