Thoughts on books, family, and life in one impressive package.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading? Button
Hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind. Here is what I read the week ending 23 July 2018. To learn more about each book, just click on the book cover!

I discovered this week that staring at a spreadsheet for eight to ten hours a day ruins my desire and ability to read. Instead, I found myself playing the Harry Potter game and that stupid but addictive Homescapes game for hours on end. I have no regrets because I was cranky enough to affect my impressions of anything I would have read. Still, it does not help me get caught up on review copies to have weeks like this.

FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:

Eden Conquered by Joelle Charbonneau

I was not a fan of the first Eden novel, but I went with the sequel for closure. I am glad I read it. Ms. Charbonneau does some interesting things with the main female character towards the end, and the ending takes a different path than what you would expect. I do not like the main male character any more, and I struggle with the pacing of the story. At least it is not yet one more series that remains unfinished for me.

DID NOT FINISH:
