Sunday Reflections – 9 July 2017

Sunday Reflections Button

Happy Sunday!

Having a holiday on a Tuesday made for a very strange week, don’t you think? The best part about it was that we had nowhere we had to be after work this week. It was odd but wonderful and very short-lived as summer dance classes start on Monday. Yay.

We are in a bit of a holding pattern right now. Jim is trying to get his work under control. I am trying to get things ready for budget season, which my boss informed me has been pushed up three months. Connor is still looking for that elusive job, and Holly is just waiting to see her friends and start dancing again. Nothing exciting is happening, and there is not much on the calendar to keep us busy. I think this is the most we have all been together in the house in a year. Again, we know this is a very short-lived scenario. That move-in date inches ever closer.

Here are past posts from the few last weeks in case you missed them the first time:

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and relaxing Sunday. I’ll see you back here next week!

I can’t believe it but my daughter starts high school in just a few weeks. Summer, as usual, is just rushing by. We don’t have a thing scheduled for tonight so I plan to just finish my book and veg out.

Hope your work stuff isn’t too bad or hectic. I eat lunch with a lady in our finance department and she always has some crazy stories about funds being used the wrong way. LOL. The nerve of people!

It’s crazy how quickly it is passing, isn’t it? Five more weeks until Connor leaves. Insane to think about that!

People are always trying to move funds from one account to another, trying to get some other department to pay for it. I like that part of my job. I honestly would love coming to work every day if it were not for the looming specter of my boss. The thought of getting a phone call or an email from him throughout the day makes me dread every single day. At least it is not busy now. That will be for September – you know, the wrong time of year to be busy at work.
