We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- MARY POPPINS TIME – Tonight is Holly’s debut as one of the children in her studio’s ballet performance of Mary Poppins. This year, the ballet is a family affair, as Connor is working the spotlight, I’m heading the scene changes crew, and Holly of course is dancing. Even Jim helped this year with setting up the stage and with babysitting when we needed it. I love helping backstage, and I love helping Holly do something she loves so much.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

So exciting! Yay for Holly! And just please know that I glanced at my blog’s search terms today (like, what people searched to find my blog), and the top one for this past week was “mary poppins sexy fanfiction.” I feel like whoever found my blog using that search term must have been grievously disappointed.
LOL! It makes me sad that someone would ruin Mary by making it sexy fan fiction! I wonder why they thought your blog would be a useful site for that…
Hope it went well for all of you last night.
Thanks, Bryan!
Hope it is a wonderful time!
Thanks, Kelly!
Isn’t it fun working backstage? The stories I could tell… How did Holly do? Did you guy get to SEE the show as well from the audience?
We are in a state of transition right now. The internship for The Teen starts later this summer because he has to be 18 so in the meantime, he has been applying all over hell. He got a job at Six Flags working entertainment, but he can’t start until he is 18 so they put him in food service. He has training this weekend. Later today, he interviews with Hollister. He feels that he won’t get a lot of hours at the park, I think he will but I also think he doesn’t want to do food service so maybe he will be hired at Hollister too.
My daughter and I leave for summer camp on 6/26. I am a little nervous. Nine teens in my cabin plus little ole me.
I do love working backstage. It makes me slightly sad because no, I did not get to see the show from the audience. I did watch the video at the cast party though. I suspect this will be one of my last years working behind the scenes as one of my closest friends is the set designer. Her daughter graduated this year, and her time spent working on the shows is at an end. I don’t know what is going to happen next year, but I am ready for it to be less stressful and less time-consuming.
Good luck to The Teen. I know C is having a terrible time finding a job for the summer. He too has been applying all over the area and so far he has heard nothing. He needs a job too since he is responsible for gas and any car repairs as well as saving up for college.
You will be fine! Do you have some alone time planned for when you return from summer camp?
That’s so fun! Hope it’s awesome!
We’re getting a big girl bike this weekend – I can’t wait to watch her fly!
Thanks, Amanda!
I hope your girl was a pro on her new bike with no scraps or falls!
Good luck, Holly! I hope you all have fun!
Thanks, Brandie!
This is great! I can’t wait to see pictures!
No pics. I was too busy, and she changed out of her costumes too quickly for me to grab any. I’ll see if I can get some from other people.
