Thank goodness it is Thursday. I don't think I have ever been so happy to see a Thursday in my life. Because it is Thursday, it is time to think about various book-related questions with Booking Through Thursday!
Who’s your favorite author that other people are NOT reading? The one you want to evangelize for, the one you would run popularity campaigns for? Maybe it is the three days of ten+ hours of meetings, maybe it is the severe sinus headache I am currently sporting, but I cannot think of a single favorite author that others are not reading. I would have said Elizabeth Kostova, but I think a lot of people are reading her. Other than that, I've got nothing. My mind is a complete blank. Isn't that sad?
So I'm putting this out to everyone else. Who should I be reading that no one else is reading? Who should I add to my Must-Read list? I am always taking recommendations and love to find unknown authors!

I think Elizabeth Kostova would have been a more unknown shortly after "The Historian" came out, but with all the hype around "The Swan Thieves," she's pretty well-known now. Great author.
I haven't gotten the chance to post mine, yet, but I am probably going to write about Kate Morton. I try to get all my patrons to read her books.
I definitely like Kostova. My author pick is at The Crowded Leaf.

I thought I hadn't heard of Elizabeth Kostova until the other Michelle mentioned The Historian and The Swan Thieves, then I was like, Oh yeah... I've not read anything by her, though.
Meh, the kids here had a "black ice day" from school, so I've not been able to think, either. ;-)

My mind drew a complete blank this morning when I saw the question. It's not something for which I can improvise an answer. I mulled over it all morning and came up with a few.
Nicole - This question was really difficult. I'm not a big fan of these blank questions like this!
Jennifer - I loved The Historian, but The Swan Thieves put the nail in the coffin as far as catapulting her to the top of my must-read list!
Kool-Aid Mom - Black ice? That stuff is so dangerous, but I'm sure you were hoping for a quieter day at home. These open-ended questions like this are rather difficult, are they not?
